Amerco, the Reno-based parent company of U-Haul International, Inc., said last week its audit committee requested that BDO Seidman, the audit firm that replaced Pricewaterhouse-Coopers, re-audit the financial statements of Amerco and its subsidiaries for the fiscal years 2001 and 2002.
BDO has identified prior period adjustments related to insurance reserves at Amerco subsidiary, Republic Western Insurance Co.
as well as other insurance company related adjustments.
