Obituary: E. Dorothy Chambers

A funeral for E. Dorothy Chambers, 88, a Fallon resident for the past 63 years, will be at noon Saturday at Smith Family Funeral Home.

Mrs. Chambers died May 12, 2003, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born July 31, 1914, in Parris Crossing, Ind., to Everett P. and Emily Humphrey Deputy.

She was a clerk for the Churchill County Treasurer's Office until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J.; and brothers Dr. Earl Deputy, William "Bill" Deputy and Robert Deputy.

Among her survivors are her sons John D., of Fallon and Everett M., of Orange City, Fla. ; sister, Edith Marie Libbey, of Ventura, Calif.; sister-in-law, Mary Deputy of Fallon; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Burial will be at Churchill Public Cemetery.
