Ida W. Davis, 76, a Carson City resident for the past 12 years, died May 17, 2003, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born March 15, 1927, in Kenosha, Wis., to Sam and Jennie Clark Wolkomir.
She graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School, in Kenosha.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Roy, Utah.
She married Floyd E. Davis Nov. 12, 1955, in Waukegan, Ill.
Mrs. Davis was a longtime member of LAFRA branches, most recently Branch 137, in Carson City. She was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons.
She was preceded in death by her husband in June 1996; twin daughter Linda Foy on Oct. 21, 1982; brothers Harry and Jake; grandson Danny, and daughter Laura Davis.
Among her survivors are her sisters Dorothy Wood, of Racine, Wis., and Ethyl Vaitkus, of Vallejo, Calif.; brothers Max Wolkomir, of Vallejo, Calif., and Howard Wolkomir, of Wildersville, Tenn.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley by Branch 137 of Carson City.
Cremation was at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
