A time of remembrance for Alfred Keefe, 65, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, will be 4-6 p.m. Monday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Keefe died May 29, 2003, in Carson City. He was born March 27, 1938, in Chicago to Alfred Sr. and Elsie McGraw Keefe.
He attended high school in Anaheim, Calif.
He married Louise Patton June 13, 1966, in Las Vegas.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Southern California for many years.
Mr. Keefe was a machinist. He retired from Parker-Hannifin Corp. in Carson City in 2002. He loved to read, work in his garden and play his bass, guitar and banjo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Among his survivors are his wife of 37 years, Louise, of Carson City; son and daughter-in-law Mark Keefe and Claire Cornish of New York; daughter Anita Payne of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law Valerie and Jay Hughes of Oregon City, Ore.; stepdaughter Sharon Kay Rosales of Chelsea, Okla.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
No service will be held.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
