Appeal to publish wish lists

All nonprofit organizations and agencies with a wish list can send them lists to the Nevada Appeal.

For example, if the Boys and Girls Club is seeking indoor board games for teenagers, playing cards or perhaps just hats and gloves for winter, read on to see how to get a wish list to the newspaper in time for the community to help.

With Christmas right around the corner, we have some wonderful fund-raisers. The Greenhouse Garden Center hosts the Carson High School Band on Dec. 6. The band will play Christmas music from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. The Band Boosters (parents) will sell refreshments. Nursery owner David Ruff is donating a portion of the day's sales to help the Carson High School Band.

The staff at Seeliger Elementary designs teddy bears with unique themes then a Bear Silent Auction is in the school's lobby.

The Salvation Army is gearing up the "Joy for Toys" children's toy program. Drop off new, unwrapped toys at Carson City Toyota, Capital Ford-Mercury, Carson City Mazda or Michael Hohl Motors. Do not forget older children who might like a football, video, curling iron, makeup, hair items etc.
