Play it Again Sports on Highway 50 is moving to Douglas County's Carson Plaza Nov. 1, said the store's owner and manager, Joe Stein.
"The Plaza is generating tremendous foot traffic," he said. "The store will be more centrally located for all of our customers and we'll have more room."
Located at 911 Topsy Lane, the Plaza includes about 305,000 square feet of retail space and more than 1,900 parking spaces.
"We may lose some customers, but hopefully that won't be the case," Stein said. "We've been in Carson City for six years and some people here still don't know where we are. The exposure to foot traffic will be tremendous there."
Play It Again Sports buys, sells and trades used and new sports equipment and gear. Customers can sell or trade in their used sports gear for cash or store credit for discounts and better prices, an advantage for young families, Stein said.
The stores are individually owned and operated and Stein said his biggest market is winter sports and weightlifting equipment.
