Florence B. Mercer, 78, a Carson City resident for the past seven years, died Oct. 4, 2003, in Carson City. She was born Feb. 21, 1925, in Byron, Calif., to Manuel and Caroline Augustino Motta.
She attended high school in Gilroy, Calif.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived for many years in both in San Jose and Gilroy, Calif.
Mrs. Mercer was a clerk at a retail grocery store.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son and two brothers.
Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law Florence and Barry Bradley of Carson City; daughters Carol Pilegga of San Francisco and Susan Rheinfrank of Oakland, Calif.; sister, Dorothy DeCarli of Red Bluff, Calif.; seven grandchildren including Michelle Bellatoni of Austria, formerly of Carson City; and three great-grandchildren.
At her request, no service will be held.
Private Inurnment will be at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
