Nevada JobConnect, the state-operated employment service, will formally open its new center inside Reno Town Mall on Monday.
Gov.
Kenny Guinn will speak on the future of job growth in Nevada at the event, which begins at 10 a.m.
The newly expanded center includes:
*Twenty new computers for use in conducting job searches, creating resumes and drafting cover letters.
* Private offices where employers can arrange and conduct interviews.
* A new computer lab where as many as 12 people can learn computer skills and employers can train a staff.
* An enlarged conference room.
* Additional work stations and additional staff members to assist job seekers.
* A children's play area with toys, a TV and a VCR to help parents focus on the search for a job.
