Obituary: Ruby Rita James

Ruby Rita James, 73, a Stagecoach resident for the past 20 years, died Oct. 14, 2003, in Stagecoach.

She was born Feb. 10, 1930, in Rocky Ford, Colo., to Otto and Hazel Walker Southerland.

She married James G. James In 1960.

Before moving to Stagecoach, she lived in San Diego, Calif.

Mrs. James was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994 and brother Darrel Southerland in 1985.

Among her survivors are her sisters Barbara Clure of Sun Valley, Betty Bender of Sacramento and Luwana Embrey of Spokane, Wash.; brother Eugene Southerland of Kirkland, Wash.; and niece Rita Allen of Boise, Idaho.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
