A two-hour hostage crisis in Gardnerville ended at 5:15.
Highway 395 through Gardnerville was closed for an hour while Douglas County Sheriff's deputies surrounded the building the man was occupying.
A shot was heard inside the building and a short time later deputies entered the pharmacy in the Stratton Center, according to broadcast reports.
The highway through Gardnerville has reopened.
