A Carson City man sought by police in the repeated sexual assault of a 9-year-old girl, turned himself in to the front counter of the Carson City Sheriff's Department Friday.
Timothy Foreman, 37, is in custody on suspicion of four counts of sexual assault on a child under 14 years of age.
According to Sgt. Bob White of the Carson City Sheriff's Department, Foreman, accompanied, by his attorney, showed up at the front counter at 3 p.m., a half hour after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
He is accused of sexually assaulting the girl in Carson City. Investigators are looking into whether or not he also committed the same crimes in Fernley.
When the girl's family confronted Foreman with the accusations, he allegedly fled the area, failing to report for work the following day.
Monday police issued a statement saying Foreman was wanted for questioning.
