Gertrude A. Ullrich, 88, a Wellington resident for the past six years, died Sept. 21, 2003, at home.
Viewing will be from 3-6 p.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville. Burial will be Tuesday at Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, Calif.
Ms. Ullrich was born Jan. 10, 1915, in Minnesota to George Schultz and Anna Ittner. Prior to living in Wellington, she lived in Hemet, Calif.
She was an artist. She loved painting and was involved with many local craft fairs. She also enjoyed animals and was a people person, called "Ma" by many.
Ms. Ullrich was a member of the Ladies VFW Chapter No. 3630 and the Sage Hens Club.
Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Arlynn and Glen Jones of Wellington; brothers Herman and Glenn Schultz, both of Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests donations be made in Gertrude's name to Barton Hospice.
