Hale Lane's Reno office heads south

Hale Lane Peek Denison and Howard last week relocated to a new office in Mountain View Corporate Centre.

Hale Lane, which employs 50 in its Reno office, moved into a 30,000 square foot space on a single floor of the new building.

The law firm moved after outgrowing 25,000 square feet scattered on separate floors of 100 W.

"Not many places could accommodate the space we need," said Jim Newman, a shareholder and attorney with Hale Lane.

"Law firms seem to be starting to get out of the mode of being down the street from the courthouse.

The most important thing for us is filing documents and that's done by runners, not attorneys."

Mountain View Corporate Centre, located at the corner of Kietzke and Del Monte lanes, was developed by Templeton Development Corp.

The development is expected to include up to 11 buildings comprising 400,000 square feet of office space.

The building Hale Lane is leasing is now owned by Platinum First Properties, said Newman.

Grubb & Ellis Nevada Commercial Group is the leasing agent for the property.

In addition to Reno, Hale Lane has offices in Las Vegas and Carson City.

The firm practices a broad range of law, including corporate litigation, real property, estate planning and bankruptcy law.
