A funeral for Lloyd R. Dickerson, 72, a Carson City resident since 1969, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.
Mr. Dickerson died April 2, 2004, at Washoe Medical Center in Reno. He was born Jan. 9, 1932, in Seminole, Okla.
Prior to living in Carson City, he lived in Placerville, Calif. He was a Protestant.
Mr. Dickerson was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was a private pilot and enjoyed flying. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Among his survivors are his wife of 53 years, Velma May Dickerson of Carson City; daughters Earlene Lawhon of El Portal, Calif., Rae Dickerson of Dayton and Karen Dickerson of Reno; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Walton's Carson Gardens in Carson City.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., No. 1010, Rockville, MD, 20852.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
