Commercial Industrial Real Estate Services closed on the $1.43 million sale and leaseback of the Rose-Glenn Building located at 299 S.

Arlington Ave., Reno.

Missy McQuattie, president of Commercial Industrial Real Estate Services, represented the buyer, a California private family trust, for both the sale and lease negotiation.

Argonaut, Apollo in Mexico mine deal Argonaut Mines LLC of Reno last week signed a joint-venture deal with Denver's Apollo Gold Corp., to explore the Huizopa gold project in the Sierra Madre in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico.

Apollo's initial earn-in for 51 percent interest includes a payment to Argonaut Mines of $125,000, issuance of 48,978 shares of Apollo Gold stock and a commitment to complete a $3 million exploration and drilling program over the next four years.

Apollo's stock was trading at $1.80 a share last week.

Homebuilders earn EnergyStar certification SilverStar Development and Renaissance at Montreux have earned Energy Star certification on 100 percent of their home designs.

The certification is sponsored by the U.S.

Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S.

Department of Energy and supported by Sierra Pacific Power Co.

The program identifies homes that meet stringent energy-saving requirements.

SilverStar Development, which is building homes at Somersett, also won the state Governor's Award for Excellent in Energy Efficient Design.

Two Foothill Commerce properties purchased Two properties have been purchased in Foothill Commerce Center, a Tanamera Commercial Development project on the west side of Highway 395 in Reno's South Meadows.

The Cronin Estate purchased a 5,454- square-foot facility at 9744 S.

Virginia.

The $1 million facility, which has frontage on Highway 395, is leased longterm to Premier Spas.

Lee Rensberger, meanwhile, purchased an 11,535-square-foot industrial facility at 9716 S.

Virginia.

The building, which sold for $1.25 million, is occupied under a long-term lease by ABB Inc., a manufacturer of measurement devices.

Gary Baker, president of Lee & Associates in Reno, represented both The Cronin Estate and Rensberger in their acquisitions.
