A Mass for May Dean Talas, 65, of Phoenix will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Talas died Aug. 5, 2004, at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix. She was born Sept. 19, 1938, in The Dalles, Ore., to Robert and Bertha Kwaina Howell.
She graduated form Ferndale High School in Washington.
She was a Carson City resident for many years.
Mrs. Talas was a realty specialist for 36 years. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Daughters, St. Lawrence Bounty Food Services, St. Lawrence Bible Study, St. Lawrence Rosary Makers, Sacramento Native Talking Circle, Sacramento Native Beading Class and the Baptist Food Closet. She was a 1955 Lummi Princess. She was a Catholic.
She served for two years in the Armed Forces.
Among her survivors are her husband of 42 years, John of Phoenix; sons Carl of Gilroy, Calif., and Michael of Dayton; daughter, Colleen Talas of Flagstaff, Ariz.; grandchildren Steven, Samuel, Jewelene and Katherine; sister, Barbara Howell of San Francisco; and brothers John and Art Howell of Bellingham, Wash.
Burial will be in the Stewart Cemetery.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
