The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada is seeking nominees for its Business of the Year Award.
The award will be given to one large company and one small company at the EDAWN annual luncheon May 15.
Deadline for nominations is Jan.
17, and a nomination form can be downloaded from www.edawn.org.
Criteria for nominating a company include:
* The company must be either a newly located business or have had a major expansion in Northern Nevada within the last five years.
* The company must be environmentally conscious, pay higher than average wages and import dollars by exporting their product or service out of state
* The company must demonstrate a strong involvement in the community with specific examples.
The winners of the award this year were Haws Corp., PC-Doctor, Inc.
