Edward A. Cannell, 85, a Carson City resident for the past 11 years, died Dec. 19, 2004, at his home. He was born Aug. 2, 1919, in Vancouver, B.C., to Edward D. and Rose A. Jones Cannell.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Oakland, Calif.
Mr. Cannell was an antique dealer and auctioneer. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association, Past President of Sierra Pacific Exchange Club and a member of National Auctioneers Association. He enjoyed collecting and selling antiques, fishing, hunting, golf and spending time with his family.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and Korea and retired after 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellamae, in 2001.
Among his survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, Katsumi and Linda of Reno; daughters and sons-in-law Maumi J. and Mark Chatterton of Baltimore and Cande and Richard Keuper of South Lake Tahoe; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A private family celebration will be at a later date.
Inurnment will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, Calif. Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
