A memorial service for Harvey Allen Whitcome, 76, a Carson City resident for the past 48 years, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Whitcome died Dec. 21, 2004, at home.
He was born Nov. 23, 1928, in Albany, Calif., to Loren and Loretta Horrigon Whitcome.
He attended high school.
He married Adele Dowding Nov. 5, 1955, in Willows, Calif.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Willows.
Mr. Whitcome was a photogramist for the Nevada Department of Transportation for 32 years and retired in 1996. He coached Pop Warner Youth Football program for 25 years. He was a member of the Catholic church.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Dan and Loren.
Among his survivors are his wife and son and daughter-in-law Michael and Melody, all of Carson City; daughters and sons-in-law Judith and Rich Martillaro of Arvada, Colo., and Gail and Hugh Linstrom of Los Angeles; daughters Janine Whitcome of Winnemucca and Christine Whitcome of Carson City; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
Cremation and inurnment will be at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
