CFA wins two design awards

CFA Inc., a planning, engineering, and landscape architecture firm, recently received two awards from the Nevada Recreation and Park Society.The 2004 Elmer H.

Anderson Award in the State/Regional Park Category for Parks Excellence was awarded to CFA for the design of the South Valleys Regional Sports Complex, Phase 2.

As project manager, Dale Doerr, R.L.A.

accepted this award for the design and project management for the 83-acre park in the Southwest Truckee Meadows for Washoe County Department of Parks and Recreation.

Another 2004 Elmer H.

Anderson Award in Park Excellence for the Neighborhood Park Category was presented to CFA for the design of the Rose Garden Park at Wingfield Springs in Sparks.

This project's design was for a small passive park for use by Wingfield Spring's residents.
