Harold A. Peterson, 81, a Carson City resident for the past four years, died Feb. 17, 2004, at Evergreen Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born Jan. 24, 1923, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Arvid H. and Eda Nelson Peterson.

He married Jennie Chedsey May 4, 1960, in Reno.

He graduated from Pocatello High School in 1941.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Reno.

Mr. Peterson worked in sales most of his life and was a beauty supply salesman for many years. He enjoyed golfing, swimming and traveling.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Mr. Peterson was preceded in death by a stepson Steve Smith, brother Arnold Peterson and sisters Margaret Peterson and Madeline McComber.

Among his survivors are his wife of Silver Springs; daughters Tonya and husband Mark Vincent of Silver Springs, Syd Ryan of New Mexico and Candy, Dawn, Michelle and Teri Peterson; sister, May Hronek of Pocatello, Idaho; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A family gathering will be at a later date.

Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
