Johnson has been named senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of International Game Technology.
Before joining Reno-based IGT, Johnson was general counsel of Anchor Gaming.
His experience also includes work as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Alliance Gaming.
From 1987 to 1995, Johnson was a partner with the law firm of Schreck, Jones, Bernhard, Woloson & Godfrey.
Johnson also has worked as chief deputy attorney general of the Nevada Attorney General's Office, where he served as chief legal counsel to the Nevada Gaming Commission and the Gaming Control Board.
