Pete Sears has been named general manager of the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino.
In his new role, Sears will oversee all operations of the 424- room resort, spa and casino, which just underwent a $60 million transformation.
He will be on property beginning Jan.

Previously, Sears was the general manager of the 654-room Hyatt Regency Orange County in Garden Grove, Calif.
A 16-year Hyatt veteran, Sears started his career as a corporate management trainee in San Antonio.
Since then, Sears has held managerial positions at several Hyatt properties including Hyatt Regency West Houston, Park Hyatt Los Angeles and Hyatt Newporter.
