A memorial service for Josephine K. Laursen, 70, a Carson City resident for the past 11 years, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Lutheran Family Church.
Mrs. Laursen died Jan. 20, 2004, at home. She was born March 19, 1933, in Westfield, N.J., to Eugene and Sylvia Izzi Cardillo.
She married Glenn Laursen on March 11, 1962, in Rahway, N.J.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Chico, Calif.
Mrs. Laursen was a restaurant owner and a gourmet chef. She enjoyed being a teacher's aide and was an eclectic collector. She also enjoyed bridge and cooking. She was past national president of Clipped Wings, a United Airlines alumni association for disabled children, and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Family Church.
Among her survivors are her husband, Glenn of Carson City; sons David of Minnetonka, Minn., and Scott of Surprise, Ariz.; brother, Frank Cardillo of Collierville, Tenn.; and sister, Susanne Moncrieff of Chicago.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
