A memorial service for Jean L. Hartley, 66, a Dayton resident for the past two years, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. Visitation will be from 2-4:30 p.m. Saturday at Walton's.
Mrs. Hartley died Jan. 25, 2004, in Corona Del Mar, Calif. She was born Nov. 10, 1937, in Inglewood, Calif.
Before moving to Dayton, she lived in Washoe Valley for 15 years.
Mrs. Hartley was a registered EEG technician for Washoe Medical Center. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and the white sand and beaches of Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her fiance, William Walker; father, Robert; and stepmother, Lois Luhman.
Among her survivors are her children Tina Earl of Houston, Dale Jones of Shelton, Wash., Tonna Jones of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Torrey Walker of Dayton; mother, Verene Luhman of California; sisters Almona Sowa of Corona Del Mar and Karen Morales of California; brother, Arthur Shrock of San Dimas, Calif.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
