Joseph Rolland Morris, 85, a Gardnerville resident, died Jan. 24, 2004, in Reno. He was born Sept. 14, 1918, in Clifton Park, N.Y., to Joseph Rolland Jr. and Alice Morris.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Glendale, Calif.
Mr. Morris was a truck and bus driver and retired in 1983. He was a Methodist.
He served in the U.S. Army for four years and was stationed in Italy during World War II.
Among his survivors are his wife, Dorothy and son, Darryl, both of Gardnerville; son, Gary of San Diego; grandchildren Nicholas, Marshal and Samantha all of Gardnerville, Julie and Wendy, both of San Diego and Steve of Tacoma, Wash.; and great-grandchildren Aema and Ryan of San Diego.
Inurnment will be at a later date at Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
