A graveside service for Francis L. Thomsen, 60, a lifetime Gardnerville resident, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Genoa Cemetery.
Mr. Thomsen died July 28, 2004, at home. He was born Sept. 8, 1943, in Gardnerville to Fred and Josephine Pedrojetti Thomsen.
He graduated from Douglas High School and completed a four-year carpenter apprenticeship in California.
Mr. Thomsen was a master carpenter for more than 40 years. He was a volunteer fireman in Gardnerville for many years. He was a member of the South Lake Tahoe Carpenters Union Local 1789. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister and a nephew.
Among his survivors are his son, Christopher L. of Gardnerville; daughters and sons-in-law Barbara and Jeff Bayer and Debbie and John Lorraine, all of Elk Grove, Calif.; sisters Rosemary Laird and Betty Beck, both of Carson City; brothers Bobby, Hank and Willie, all of Carson City, and Roy of Mina.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
