Kingdom Ventures Inc.
of Minden said last week it fired its auditor but its auditor quit at nearly the same time.
In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Kingdom Ventures said its board voted on June 3 to dismiss Wrinkle, Gardner & Co.
as its independent public accountants.
The next day, Kingdom Ventures notified the auditor of the board's vote.
The same day, however, Kingdom Ventures received a notice from Wrinkle, Gardner & Co.
that it resigned as the company's auditor effective May 27.
In the SEC filing, Kingdom Ventures said it hadn't had any significant disagreements with the auditors during the past two fiscal years.Wrinkle, Gardner & Co.
did, however, express substantial doubt about Kingdom Ventures' ability to continue as a going concern in its last audit report.
Kingdom Ventures said it hired Kabani & Co.
Inc.
to succeed Wrinkle, Gardner as its auditor.
The Minden company owns Christian-based media operations as well as divisions that produce merchandise targeted toward Christian markets.
Its stock is publicly traded on the over-the-counter bulletin board system.
