A funeral Mass for Ron Mazy, 44, a Dayton-Carson City area resident for the past 28 years, will be at 10 a.m. June 19 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Dayton. A rosary will be recited there at 7 p.m. Friday.
Mr. Mazy died June 13, 2004, in Reno. He was born Dec. 6, 1959, in Glendale, Calif., to Raymond and Sandra Mazy.
Mr. Mazy was a member of St. Ann's. He enjoyed a variety of sports including snow skiing, water skiing and horseback riding. He loved to shoot guns and build motorcycles, and really enjoyed the outdoors.
Among his survivors are his children Anna Marie Mazy of Oceana, Va. (serving on the USS Roosevelt) and Robyn Mazy and Raymond Todd Mazy of Dayton; his parents of Dayton; sister, Tamara Adkins of Fort Smith, Ark.; brothers Todd Mazy of Gardnerville, Raymond L. Mazy of Sacramento, Calif., and James Debrauwre of Paso Robles, Calif.; grandmother, Marjorie Dahl of Cumming, Ga.; and many other relatives.
Inurnment will be in Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
