A memorial service for Lavon M. Hennessy, 90, of Minden will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Spruce and Deseret Drive in Minden.
Mrs. Hennessy died March 1, 2004, at home. She was born Feb. 3, 1914, in Ogden, Utah, to Richard F. and Olga M. Schuw Anderson.
She moved to California when she was 13 then to Nevada in 1980.
Mrs. Hennessy was a homemaker. She loved birds. She was a member of the Lions in Morningside Park in Englewood, Calif.; and the Crystal Angel organization. She was a member of the LDS Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; son, Jay; grandson Michael; three sisters and four brothers.
Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law Shirley and Ralph Parish of Gardnerville; daughter Laurie Hennessy of Minden; sister June Payne and brother George Anderson, both of Utah; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
