Ronald McDonald House Charities is seeking the help of northern Nevada businesses with its "Wear and Care" casual day fundraiser.
The event is scheduled for April 30.
But first, organizers of the "Wear and Care" event said they need businesses to help them sell specialty Tshirts and caps for participants to wear on the day of the event.
An anonymous donor has pledged to match the money raised by sales of Tshirts and hats up to $50,000.
Artwork for the apparel was created by a fourth-grade student at Roy Gomm Elementary School.
All of the proceeds from the fundraiser will stay in northern Nevada to assist with the Ronald McDonald House.
It provides a home for families with children in local hospitals.
Other Ronald McDonald charities to be assisted include Travel-For-Treatment, Ronald McDonald Care Mobile and a grants and scholarship program.
Businesses that participate in the program need to register by contacting Mary O'Brien, the executive director of Ronald McDonald House in Reno.
To register, e-mail her at Mary@RMHC-Reno.com or fax her at 322-8670.
Participating companies also need to select a team coordinator.
T-shirts and caps will be distributed on April 22.
