A service for J. Aletha Stafford, 86, a Riverside, Calif., resident for the past three months, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Garden of Prayer Mortuary in Riverside, Calif.
Mrs. Stafford died March 27, 2004, in Carson City. She was born Dec. 6, 1917, in Cordell, Okla., to Charles and Annie McNott Duncan.
She attended high school in Oklahoma.
She married Walter J. Stafford in 1976 in Riverside. He preceded her in death.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Riverside for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Stafford was a bookkeeper and accountant at Burpee Seed Co. in Riverside for more than 30 years. She was a member of the Grace Bible Church in Riverside.
Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Michael Szabo of Carson City; daughter, Linda Tanzman of Stateline; grandsons Michael Whitson and Gregory Whitson; and great-granddaughter, Ariana Whitson.
Burial will be at the Olive Wood Cemetery in Riverside.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
