A memorial service for Viola Ramsey, 95, a Carson City resident for the past 35 years, will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mrs. Ramsey died March 27, 2004, in Carson City. She was born Feb. 2, 1909, in Coleman, Alberta, Canada, to James and Jeanette Hogan Larrigan. She was one of 12 children.
She married William Ramsey. He preceded her in death.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Holbrook Junction.
Mrs. Ramsey owned race horses at one time. She later owned restaurants in Nevada, the last one the Stockman's Club in Holbrook Junction. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, the outdoors and quilting.
Among her survivors are her sister, Muriel Crabson of Carson City; and brother, James Larrigan of Roslyn, Wash.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
