A memorial service for Mary Berdena Harrison, 83, a Gardnerville resident for the past four years, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville.
Mrs. Harrison died March 28, 2004, at home. She was born July 25, 1920, in Urbana, Ill., to Frank and Myrtle Alexander.
Mrs. Harrison was a supervisor at Boeing for 38 years from 1951-1989. She loved to read, sing, recite poetry, and was very creative. She was a Baptist. Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in Santa Ana, Calif., for 35 years.
She was preceded in death by husband, Roger in 1999; son, Roger S. in 2002; brother Robert Alexander in 1998; and grandson Dain E. Ekas in 1975.
Among her survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law Mary and Phil Heald of Gardnerville, Donna and Monte Bowman of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Peggy and Robert Nelson of Victorville, Calif.; sisters Kelly Andrea and Bea Stimmel, both of Florida; brother Ralph Alexander of Georgia; and grandchildren Stan, Scott, Steve, Ray, Dean, Derek, Darron, Drayden, David, Clark, Ron, Faith, Phillip, Karyn and Alexander
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory. FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
