Marcella Whalin, 72, a Gardnerville resident for the past 22 years, died April 28, 2004, at home.
She was born Aug. 24, 1931, in Kansas.
Mrs. Whalin was a receptionist at Stewart Title Co. in Carson City. She loved gardening, attending her grandsons' sporting events, and spending time with her family and pets.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna.
Among her survivors are her husband of 55 years, Ralph; sons Bill and Steve; daughter, Carol; daughter-in-law Cymon; grandsons Casey, Cody, Nate, Aaron and Michael; sisters Shirley and Linda; and brother, Gene.

Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
