Herbert G. Ramsay, 86, a Carson City resident for the past three years, died May 8, 2004, in Carson City. He was born Nov. 24, 1917, in Oakland, Calif., to Herbert G. and Grace Jordan Ramsay.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Auburn, Calif., for more than 10 years.
Mr. Ramsay was an aeronautical engineer for Aircraft Avionics Co. He held a commercial airplane pilots license and was a commercial real estate broker in California for several years.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Among his survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, Geoff and Geri Ramsay of Silverton, Ore.; daughters Janet Jenkins of Sacamento and Char Ramsay of Dayton; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
No service will be held.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
