Jody Solmonsson is Granite Construction Co.'s new employee development leader for Nevada operations.
Prior to his new position, Solmonsson was a project engineer.
His responsibilities included coordinating and tracking Granite's subcontractors on the I-80 Truckee job.
Solmonsson has been with Granite for more than three years, and has 12 years of industry experience with such organizations as the Montana Department of Transportation, Kiewit Construction, and Hensel Phelps Construction.
He is a graduate of Montana State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in construction engineering and a master's degree in construction engineering management.
