Site59, a company that sells lastminute travel to consumers, added Reno to its lineup of destinations.
A unit of Travelocity, Site59 says it can provide savings up to 70 percent on airline, hotel and car-rental deals for travelers who book less than 14 days in advance.
Michelle Abril, a spokeswoman for the company, said Site59 added Reno because its travel-booking patterns particularly among last-minute travelers and Internet penetration matched the profile sought by the company.
The company's Web site Site59.com last week was advertising packages involving hotel rooms at the Peppermill and Holiday Inn in Reno and Harrah's, Harvey's and Caesars at Lake Tahoe.
Airlines working with Site59 include American, Continental, Delta and Northwest, Abril said.
The company promotes the Reno/Tahoe region as less crowded than Las Vegas, and also highlights the area as one of its getaways for consumers looking for outdoor adventure.
Nationwide, Site59 combines inventory from more than 3,200 hotels, airlines, car-rental companies and specialty providers.
