The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
- Michael Stowell, 27, an unemployed transient, was arrested at 10:45 p.m. Monday on gross misdemeanor failure to appear for sentencing on a theft charge and violating a suspended sentence. No bail was set.
- A 48-year-old mechanic from Carson City was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of South Minnesota Street on misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.
n Deputies responded to the following calls:
- A note from a student threatening to harm his parents was turned over to police by a principal Monday.
- A motel maid found a gun wrapped up in bed sheets Tuesday at 10:50 a.m.
- A 16-year-old boy was arrested Monday at 12:35 p.m. on suspicion of disturbance of school and causing a nuisance outside school.
- A ring and a drill were reported stolen Monday from a home in the 100 block of Mountain Park.
- A credit card was found outside a motel in the 600 block of North Stewart Street on Monday at 3:35 p.m.
- A deputy assisted jail staff with a violent inmate Monday at 9:17 p.m.
