A graveside service for Nina M. Snyder, 97, a Gardnerville resident for the past 15 years, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Quiet Haven Memorial Park in Sacramento.

Mrs. Snyder died May 18, 2004, in Gardnerville. She was born July 29, 1906, in Red Bluff, Calif., to Charles and Elizabeth Snively Nelson.

She married Elwood R. Snyder Sr. Nov. 10, 1927, in Eureka, Calif. He preceded her in death June 1971 in West Sacramento.

Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in West Sacramento from 1928-1989, Eureka, Calif., and San Diego for two years.

Mrs. Snyder was a file clerk for the California Department of Motor Vehicles. She was a Baptist.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, two brothers and two sisters.

Among her survivors are her sons Russ of Gardnerville and Nelson D. of Priest River, Idaho; daughters Georgianne M. Lindberg of Gardnerville and Margaret E. Johnson of Livermore, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
