June S. Deming, 91, a Carson City resident for the past 12 years, died May 22, 2004, in Reno. She was born June 2, 1912, in Sedwrich, Colo., to William and Elizabeth Lowes Sherman.
She attended high school and nurses training in Colorado.
She married Clifton Deming Sept. 26, 1935, in Colorado. He preceded her in death in 1996.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Crescent City, Calif., for 35 years, Denver, Colo., and Anchorage, Alaska.
Mrs. Deming was a nurse at a hospital in Crescent City.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and William Godwin of Silver City, and grandchildren Cynthia Godwin of Reno and James Godwin of Pasadena, Calif.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
