Kathleen M.
Roehr, RN, has been named chief nurse executive at Northern Nevada Medical Center.
She is responsible for all nursing functions and the professional development of the more than 150 nurses at the 100-bed acute care hospital in Sparks.
Roehr has more than 32 years of healthcare experience, including 30 years with the U.S.
Army in staff nursing, combat support and administrative roles in the United States and Europe.
Her most recent position was as director of operations/chief nurse executive with Woodland Healthcare in Woodland, Calif.
Prior to that, she was deputy commander for nursing at Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu.
Roehr earned an masters of science in nursing administration from the University of South Carolina and bachelors of science in nursing from the University of San Francisco.
She is a graduate of the U.S.
Army War College and numerous military executive and combat courses.
