Roger Dale Garrett

A private family memorial service will be held for Roger Dale Garrett, 59, a Carson City resident for the past three weeks.

Mr. Garrett died May 26, 2004, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born April 22, 1945, in Glascow, Ky., to Herman and Ruby Chaplin Garrett.

He married Lisa Carr in 1963, in Trona, Calif. They were divorced.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Orlando, Fla.

Mr. Garrett was a construction laborer. He loved to make things and do upholstery work.

Among his survivors are his sons Dale Shane and Jason Garrett; daughters Cathie Mayfield of Ridgecrest, Calif., Cynthia Moreno of Victorville, Calif., Connie Griffin of Carson City and Carrie Garrett of Florida ; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
