Richard Mercuri has been named vice president of human resources for Reno-based CLP Resources Inc.
Mercuri previously was director of career development and employee relations for The Haskell Company, a $700 million provider of architectural design-build construction technology and services.
Prior to that,Mercuri owned his own human resources consulting firm where his clients included Shell Chemicals, Turner Communications, Prudential Health Care, Kaiser Permanente, Hyatt Hotels and Westin Hotels & Resorts.
Mercuri also spent 11 years as chief executive officer of Trac Systems, Inc., a strategic planning and executive consulting firm headquartered in Honolulu, with offices in Tokyo and Seattle.
Other previous roles include senior HR and training positions with Aetna Group and Nissan Motor Corporation.
Mercuri earned his doctorate in business management from Kennedy Western University and his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
