A Catholic service for John Joseph Brozeau, Jr., a Carson City resident for the past seven years, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Oak Hill Chapel of Roses in San Jose, Calif.

Mr. Brozeau died Nov. 3, 2004. He was born to John Joseph and Dolphine Borden Brozeau.

Mr. Brozeau was supervisor of the Heating and Cooling Systems Plant of the Veterans Hospital in Wood, Wis., until his retirement. He moved to San Jose, Calif., and became an amateur orchardist.

He was a member of the Michigan Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and participated in the invasion of Italy.

He was preceded in death by sisters Evangeline Rogers, Loretta Hughes and Dolphine Brozeau.

Among his survivors are his niece, Winifred M. Farrell of Glendora, Calif., niece and husband Joan E. and Belmont M. Reid of Carson City; two grandnephews; great-grand nieces and nephews; and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or to a veterans group of your choice.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Oak Hill Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
