Elaine Peterson, 73, a Reno resident, died Nov. 11, 2004, in Reno. She was born Aug. 23, 1931, in Omaha, Neb., to Wilby Dayton and Sophie Mary Emma Cop.
Before moving to Reno, she lived in Las Vegas.
Mrs. Peterson was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, baseball and working crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Creighton alumni
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren, in 1993.
Among her survivors are her sons Mark of Anchorage, Alaska, and Timothy of Sparks; daughters Carol Peterson of Reno and Karen Bowden of Carson City; six grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Inurnment will be at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
