A memorial service for Emily C. White, 90, a Gardnerville resident for the past three years, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Porterville, Calif.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. prior to the service.
Mrs. White died Nov. 12, 2004, at Carson Convalescent Center. She was born Feb. 27, 1914, in Madera, Calif., to George N. and Florence O. Graves Holley.
She graduated from Porterville Union High School in June 1932.
She married James E. White Nov. 27, 1933, in Porterville.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in South Gate, Calif., for more than 50 years, coming from Los Angeles.
Mrs. White was an assembly woman for Weiser Clock Co. in Southern California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters, two brothers and son, Keith.
Among her survivors are her son, James E., of Gardnerville; sister, Molly Fry, of Porterville; grandchildren Michael D. White and Deborah White Garrett; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in the Porterville Public Cemetery.
Walton's Douglas County Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
