St. Mary's Hospice of Northern Nevada will hold a memorial service for Jerome David "Yoda" Halseth at 6 p.m. Monday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Carson City. A reception will follow in the church hall.
Mr. Halseth died Sept. 15, 2004, at home. He was born Sept. 26, 1951, in Roseau, Minn. He moved to Truckee, Calif., in 1972.
He was a registered nurse, and for the past two years, he worked for St. Mary's Hospice. He was an avid golfer, reader and San Francisco Giants fan.
Survivors include his daughter, Kiersta Halseth; son, Ian Halseth; sisters Patti Poorman and Pam Armstrong; brother, Kerry Halseth; and partner, Lucia Martin.
