Man gets probation in drug, ammo case

The brother of a Los Angeles man wanted for a Carson City murder was sentenced to probation Monday for conspiracy to traffic drugs.

Saul Cisneros, 20, was given a suspended sentence of 12 to 30 months. He must successfully complete up to five years' probation, be subject to search and seizure, receive his high school diploma, undergo a substance abuse evaluation and maintain full-time employment.

Cisneros, in custody since his arrest July 2, was released from jail.

According to the arrest report, an informant told police Cisneros was connected to eight weapons, 62.6 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 1,500 rounds of ammunition found in a June 25 raid of a storage shed. The report indicates Cisneros, who is suspected of fleeing to Los Angeles, was trying to get someone in Carson City to pay the storage fee so he wouldn't lose access to the units.

Cisneros is the brother of Maximiliano Cisneros, 22, wanted in the killing of Juan Carlos Alegria, 23, and wounding of Fidel Fuentes, 22, May 25 at West Eighth and Nevada streets in Carson City. An arrest warrant for Maximiliano Cisneros charges him with murder and attempted murder.
