A funeral Mass for Timothy Alve Sperry, 58, a Tonopah resident, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Yerington. A Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. tonight at Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home.
Mr. Sperry died Sept. 19, 2004, at St. Mary's in Reno. He was born Oct. 24, 1945, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Hubert A. Staloch and Evangeline "Lucille" Stumne Sperry.
He moved to Yerington at age 12, attended local schools and graduated from Yerington High School in 1964.
Mr. Sperry joined his stepfather in the family business, Sperry Motors. In 1979, he moved to Tonopah and worked for Anaconda as a purchasing and receiving technician.
In 1985, he began employment with the Nevada Test Site as warehouse technician I.
He served in the National Guard.
Among his survivors are his wife, Kathy Reyes of Tonopah and sons Benjamin and Nicolas of Tonopah, Timothy Dane of Yerington and Troy Henry of McMinnville, Ore.; daughter, Alve Ross of Goldendale, Wash.; sisters Diane Lawrence of Wellington, Janice Ludwigs of Cambridge, Minn., and Marlys Peterson of North Branch, Minn.; one grandson; five granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery. A reception will follow immediately after the graveside service.
Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
